[TIPS] Hot, Flat, and Crowded

That’s the name of Thomas Friedman’s (The World is Flat guy) latest book. You may or may not agree with him, but this is an interesting book. If you can’t read it, then give this a listen. http://macmillan.hosted.panopto.com/CourseCast/Viewer/Default.aspx?id=610215c3-a3c8-429c-9dcd-3f8b72ee8a99

If you’re on a Mac you’ll be asked to install Microsoft’s Silverlight and restart your browser.

Could this be a good social studies lesson? Or, does it smack of a political opinion? Regardless of whether or not we can show this in school, you may want to listen to it for yourself.

BTW – see if you can catch a little Fahrenheit/Centigrade slight of hand.

Great suggestion. I think this book is one of the best tools we have right now to get the "green revolution" up and running. We so desperately need to make changes in our day to day lives, and Thomas Friedman's book certainly gave me the urgency and ambition to think seriously about changing my own life. Check it out!

I read a post today on Peterman's Eye about this book....thought I'd share.
