[TIPS] Copyright gone wrong

Maybe I'm just a sucker for stories of government stupidity, but this is a good one. I won't spoil it for you, but if you get a chance, give it a read. I'll BET you end up shaking your head in amazement.

I did some additional reading after writing that post and it seems Oregon is not alone. There are at least nine other states and quite a few smaller jurisdictions who have tried to stop republishing public documents on the web, including transcripts and commentary of public meetings. The amazement never ends. :-)
