[TIPS] The results are in.... THREE

In today's Technology Director's Meeting I was recognized for the Edublogs award. That was very nice. But, I asked the question, "How many of you can see my blog in your district?" Out of the 21 districts represented, only THREE could see it. The rest block all blogs.

I don't know what to say. I'm just so HUGELY disappointed. I know that MANY block wikis, as well.

Oh my...

Since that meeting I've gone from three to FIVE!!! One just unblocked it today! (1-11-08)

The newest digital divide: those who can see the world of collaboration and contribution, and those who are blind to it. Of course, if your world only includes those items that clear the filter, it takes less time to sift through new additions, and you believe you are "up on the latest" with far less effort. Frankly, Jim, I was not surprised by your poll, but I am VERY glad you asked the question. If we don't ask, people don't even know that there IS something else outside the filter. It's the new iron curtain.
